35 ft houseboat "Noahs ark" project steel hull 2012 titled in Illinois
Description
This boat was built by a professional boat builder in 2011-2012. It was brought into the shop to paint the bottom before being launched into the Mississippi River. during the paint job the boat fell from the jack stands and knocked the wooden cabin askew from the hull. The insurance company of the shop paid the owner for the boat. i bought it from the insurance company who signed off on the illinois title. i purchased the heavy duty trailer which was then customized to haul this boat from illinois to Texas. I originally intended to remove the damaged cabin from the extremely durable steel hull and rebuild it. upon getting it home it just didnt appear that the damage was substantial enough to totally start over so i decided to try and straighten out the cabin. Well other projects have put this on the back burner now for a couple years. ITs time to let someone else get some use out of this boat. there were two brand new 4 stroke 2012 Suzuki outboards installed on the rear of the boat with controls linking them that i removed. they will be offered in a separate auction. each of them have a small cast metal bracket that was broken in the fall that will need to be replaced or welded. The total length of the boat is approx 35 ft. the cabin is about 25 ft with a solid rubber coated roof. The roof does not leak but rainwater seeps in around the broken seal of the cabin and the hull. the boat has a large king size bed in the front with a midship galley and aft shower and marine toilet with macerater. a large fresh water tank is below the bed with demand pumps and city water connections on the rear. a propane rv type heater and stovetop along with a minifridge and microwave. Also A hotwater heater. there is a bit of water damage inside on the lower woodwork but no rotting etc. where rainwater accumulated before we started to keep it pumped out. I am listing this boat with the custom trailer with the reserve being only what i had to put into the purchase of the trailer. if you are interested in the two 25 hp suzuki outboards we can talk about that. i have another use for them if you dont need or want them. The hull is solid and except for a small impact ripple on the starboard bow is perfect. not sure what the weight of the boat and trailer but it was hauled 800 miles here with a 1 ton truck. im sure there may be lots of questions, feel free to ask and i will try to answer best i can.
