1977 s2 80 yanmar diesel shoal draft roller furling

Up for sale is a 1977 S2 8.0 26ft. sailboat with a Yanmar diesel, Shoal Draft, and Roller Furling. I have owned and sailed the heck out of this boat for 12 years and I'm going to sell her because I bought a larger boat to better accommodate my needs. The S2 has a great reputation for build quality and sail-ability and this boat is no exception. She's located in oriental, nc and ready to hit the sound.
A year and a half ago I hauled her out and painted the bottom, topsides, and bootstripe. I also did extensive engine maintenance including filters, fluid changes, impeller, etc... as well as new interstate batteries and new cutlass bearing, prop shaft, and stuffing box. The engine is a yanmar yse 8 and starts immediately with no smoke and uses no oil. The motor is absolutely bulletproof and parts are available readily at a very reasonable cost.
The hull has no issues and all of the fiberglass is solid and in great shape. The rigging is all intact and in working order. I had the sails serviced and repaired 3 years ago and had reef points installed on the main. The interior is all teak and in overall good condition. I had cushions made several years ago and they still look great. Overall the boat is basicallyequipped, comfortable, maintained and ready to sail.
Some of the features include: Marine hear, compass, GPS, propane stove, VHF, Danforth anchor and rode, Whisker Pole, winch handle, basic safety equipment, etc.
There isnt many things that the boat needs. I do know that 2 switched on the beaker panel are broken and the anchor light is burned out. It probably could use new zincs and bottom paint soon, but nothing major is wrong.
I can help as much as I can with transporting boat. It is trailer-able and I have trailer bunks to convert a tandem trailer to fit this boat. Also there are several boat transporters that can move it in NC. The boat weighs 4800 lbs so a 1/2 ton pickup will move her. I can also help make accommodations for storing the boat short term
