uscg 47 motor lifeboat converted to rough weather boarding vessel
Description
Up for sale is our USCG 47' motor lifeboat converted to a rough water boarding platform. Three of these units went to the public and this is one of them. For 10 years we used this vessel to support Homeland Security Missions off the coast of Virginia however orders for these missions fell off the last couple of years and is now surplus.
The 2006 retrofit consisted of
- all new electronics
- All new fendering
- Installation of rear fantail and rails
- Installation of rear facing control station.
- Installation of new Kobelt Controls.
- Removal of the forward upper outside station.
- Installation of two search light.
- Installation of sunroof for operator to see up to a ship.
- Combined operators compartment with main cabin.
This hull and frames are in very good shape however the 692engins run great but are in need of up grades. Vessel would make a very good pilot boat or rough weather launch.
This vessel handles perfect, we have videos of this vessel boading ships in challenging weather on youtube. Look up " 10 9 13 Northeaster Boarding " on youtube and "10 9 13 Northeaster Boarding part 2 " You will see how graceful this vessel handles in rough weather.
Vessel will be offhire and available for final sale at the end of September. We are at a port city and could assist in a overseas delivery.
