This listing is for a 1965 Columbia 24 Contender sloop with a few year old Mercury 4 stroke 5 hp outboard. It is complete with all rigging, mast and sails. The main sail is brand new and hasn't even been used yet. We are unsure of the outboards year but we were told it is 3 years old. We are selling this boat for a third party and our description is based on our visual observations during inspection and previous owners statements. We did however visit the boat and personally inspect quickly.
Cosmetically the boat is in decent shape for its age. The decks are all solid other than area over cabin entry. Gelcoat looks to be original but crazed in areas. Overall it needs a good detailing and cleaning. Bottom, rudder and keel all look sound. Includes GPS Plotter, compass, VHF radio and everything shown in photos. We did not inventory the sails but we're told that it comes with a new and never used main sail.
This boat was not launched this year. The owners have had it on the same marina where it's currently at for over 20 years. They are getting too old to sail and need to sell this boat. It is currently paid for until November 1st and storage could possibly be continued at buyers expense. It has been continuously maintained. The mast is in the mast rack on site and the outboard was winterized and in the marinas outboard shed.
Boat will need to removed from marina in a timely fashion at auctions end or a new winter contract signed and paid for at marina. We will meet you at boat to transfer ownership if needed or can be done by mail. Deliver by land/trailer is always available so please contact us for a quote. We can help arrange the boat being loaded onto a truck/trailer at your expense if needed.
