Description

A 1970 43 foot Columbia Sailboat.

Summer dock is in Ludington, MI and winter storage is in Pentwater, Mi at Snug harbor. The boat could stand a hull painting but it is not necessary! The boat has a fairly new 37.5 hp diesel engine that runs perfectly. ($11,130) There are two 6' stainless water cooled custom mufflers on the exhaust. There is an auto pilot that works perfectly. (About $3,000). There is also a new 8' 10" Newport dinghy with two seats and it can take a 10 hp motor. Very stable! ($865) The sailboat draws about 7 feet without the centerboard down. I do not usually lower the centerboard. The V berth sleeps 2 or 3 depending and there is lots of closets and storage and a privacy door. The bathroom has a basically new toilet and it works perfectly. The holding tank is more than adequate. The diesel tank holds 41 gallons of diesel. It's fairly new and is made of 1/8" thick aluminum. It has an overflow pipe to tell when it's full. It also has about a 40 gallon water tank. It has a refrigerator and a freezer and an icebox for when you are not hooked to electricity. The center area has a charcoal heater and two large seating areas that change to 4 bunks at night if you so wish. There is a good navigation station with LOTS of storage space and a wind up chronometer. There are 2 batteries that start the diesel which starts very easily! There are plenty of sails. Mainsail, jibs, spinnaker etc....There is a propane stove and oven. (2 propane tanks are also supplied). There is plenty of seating room in the cockpit. Wheel steering and a very good compass. (Rebuilt about 2 years ago). A darned good battery charger. A good electrical system. A decent liquor cabinet. Very good winches. (Quite a few). The FM radio doesn't work right now. The CB radio does. There are two sump pumps....one for the engine compartment and another under the main cabin. (They both work well but are hardly ever needed). Plenty of tools. Two hand held walkie talkies. A hammock... YEA!!! A new stainless steel BAR B Que propane grill. (Works very well). Plenty of rain gear. I'll give you a 2.5 horse Mercury outboard for the dingy. (It runs very well). Plenty of life jackets. (Big and small). Lots of spare parts and many, many screws. A 120VAC vacuum cleaner. Lots of rope and chains. A good Plow anchor for the bow and a couple of Danforths for the stern. Lots of anchor chain and line. A good spinnaker pole. Good storage space for food, paper towels, etc.....The freezer and refrigerator work on 120VAC. A nice canopy to protect you from the sun and a decent. A nearly new Red dodger. Good 120 VAC lamps and also 12 volt lights. Good water pump. The boat is stored for the winter at Snug Harbor in Pentwater. There is plenty of canvas to cover it. The cradle is good.

Make sure you put Anti Freeze in the water tank and engine.
