1978 Lyman Biscayne 24 ft. fiberglass classic lapstrake fishing cruising boat. This boat does need work but is appears to be a good project for the right person. The boat is mostly complete and I was told by the previous owners it did run and was used before it was left to sit for over 5 years. The FWC V-8 Chevy block engine does not turn over at this point and not sure it could be unfrozen. The engine hour meter shows 285 hours, the oil is clean and the FWC antifreeze is full, but again cannot verify the engine could be saved. There are two fuel tanks, one each under the port and starboard decks and it appears they were replaced at some point but also can't verify.
The hull appears to have been painted blue, it does shine but there are scratches, chips and some fading. The teak needs to be cleaned and refinished and there is a nice teak swim platform with ladder. The floors are solid except for the area right behind the helm seat and engine cover area, the beam under the floor is rotted but it is easily accessible from the engine compartment and hatch in from of engine cover and can be replaced. I put a temporary piece of wood to support it until fixed. The boat does include some electronics and GPS but I have not verified they work. One battery that does hold a charge is included. The trailer does tow well, has good tires, has a straight 5 prong connection but I could not confirm the brakes are working. The trailer lights are new and work. All pictures are current and taken this past weekend.
Again, this boat does need work and most likely an engine but it does appear to be a classic boat worth saving and hopefully there is someone out there for her. The trailer is newer and does have a transferable title and the boat has a transferable registration.
