1966 Seafarer Kestrel (daysailor)
Description
This was my first sailboat which I took out for sailing only about 5-6 times in 2016. Hull below waterline is solid and there are no leaks, there is one soft spot on the deck. I purchased and installed mast step plate, manual bilge pump, and turnbuckles. Sales are original and in poor condition except spinnaker, which I did not use but it appears to be newer then other sails. Main sail ripped during my first outing and I bought new one from mastheadsailinggear for $400+. I also got new black dacron fabric, traced and cut out Kestrel markings and hull number as they were on original sail and sawed it to the new sail, but only on one side. Original main had it on both sides.New main sail is not part of this auction, but I will include it for additional $200.Mercury 9.9 outboard shown on the pictures is new and not part of this auction.Boat stands - included.Dinghy - included.
Few things which are broken/need attention:1) companionway sliding hatch is missing and the teak rails that guide the hatch are in poor shape2) in order to fit new outboard I had to cut the deck behind the engine well. It needs to be reinforced with wood/fiberglass.3) need new paint, which I already purchased and it is included with the boat.
Clean NJ title is on my name.
