26 black watch express
Description
I've reached that point that every man fears... It's time to sell the boat because of a new business and the wife... Soooo here she is. My 1988 Black Watch 26 Express sportfish. This boat is a great riding, fishing, cruising, partying, dancing and lounging boat all the way around. From lazy days anchored up in the river (electric windless does all the work!) to gulf stream trips with the boys (235 gal of fuel), she can do it all. The 108 sq ft cockpit makes for an awesome fishing platform or dance floor for the ladies. After all that dancing, the ladies sure appreciate the secluded electric head down below (no more "everybody face forward").There is 25 gal of water to make sure that your guest never have an excuse to be taken back to the dock early. In the cold, rain, snow & wind we just keep on keepin on, with the fully enclosed curtains and the L-shape couch, everybody's comfortable. Even in the blinding rain, the dual Simrad NSS 8's lead the way with precision and redundancy for the "just in case" moments. There are 12 rod holders from the gunwales to tower which keeps everything close yet neat when you want to get really aggressive with your spread. The two in-floor fish boxes and corner boxes provide a lot of storage, especially for those bottom fish! A rod locker to the starboard of the captain's chair doubles as a bench and will hold all you need although, the whole L-shape provides ample storage itself. There are 2 bunks down below that would be awful except there is a ridiculously COLD AC and it makes summer AWESOME! Even around Savannah, the removable tower proves to be really useful whether you're simply hanging out or looking for that weed line at the stream. By the way, this rig flies! The twin 225's top out at 48.5 mph and cruise between 31-34 mph with a fuel burn of +/- 22 gph.
Black Watch Is a Hunt boat like the good ole Bertram's and it is the hull that Regulator is derived from. These boats were built, and are most prominently found in the north-east and were built for big seas. This is definitely the biggest 26ft boat I've ever been on and is it is certainly a full on sportfish. I tell people that it is probably the smallest full feature sportfish that was ever made cause I haven't seen any that offer this much. By the way, there is no trailer because with a boat as awesome as this, who wouldn't keep her at the marina on go?!?! Engine hours are not exact but probably at or under 1000. I've put over 1500 miles on her April 2015- April 2016 and I have used it about 3 times since. I'm too busy for her now...
