1958 Wooden Utility Mahogany wood runabout
Description
This is a 1958 Home made/hand built Wooden Runabout
The Deck is Mahogany Plywood
The hull appears to be marine grade fir that I stripped the old white paint off and stained it Mahogany.
I believe the stringers keel and stem are white oak. However, I can't prove that.
I found no rot in this boat.
The motor and transmission are from a 50's era Austin Devon.
The motor is not ceased. I put a wrench on the crank pulley. I only moved It enough to verify its not locked up.
The steering works as it should.
The boat is not water ready. It will need fuel lines, tank cleaned and other mechanicals.
The trailer(included) is not roadworthy. Has bad tires and no tounge to attach to a hitch.
The boat was built in Western New York and has spent its entire life here. The only paperwork I have is the original paperwork from 1958. The pictures show all that is included. ie. old boat ladder, colapsable anchor, old winshield and horn etc.
She needs someone to breathe some life back into her.
