Magnolia Catamaran-- Classic 1963 power boat--

Awesome rare classic! I've owned this boat for twenty five years and its not an easy thing to part with. People are drawn to this boat at the gas station, boat ramp, anchorage, and underway. Its been quite a joy to talk about. Ive even had a wildlife officer pull me over and admit he just wanted to see it closer. I restored it in 1998 with the present Mariners, hydraulic steering (in place of cable), and newly constructed bench seating (there were no original seats). The exterior was sanded, filled, sanded, filled, etc, etc and painted with Imron. Inside, the hull was sprayed with a fiberglass chopper gun and finished with a gel coat adding nearly a quarter inch to the hull. There are two fuel gauges, two tacs, and a speedometer that all work. The windshield is lexan but needs replacing. The upholstery is also in need of a do-over. The splash pan at the stern is sturdy aluminum and is original. I've replaced the old stern single 3/4 ply with a double for extra stiffness. Capping that is a custom stainless steel cap. Each fuel tank is 12 gals and fillable from the splash pan. They have both been cleaned and have a couple gals of premium to crank the motors. Both motors run great and have been flushed each time after salt use. Tilt and trim are both operational at the controls and on each motor. Shifting is not as smooth as it used to be but I wouldn't call it stiff. If you're serious I will send you a video of the motors running and tilting. I've also added a grab rail around the windshield to facilitate safety and ease of getting out of the seat. The hood ornament/running light is original and was rechromed in 98. The bumper trim and windshield trim is also original as well as the stern cleats and bow handle. I added two pop up cleats forward of the windshield. On a slick day I've run the boat at 45 mph at about 4400 rpm by myself. While this boat is not original in every aspect there is no denying its classic appeal. There are some scuffs and dings and she needs some love.
The trailer is custom made aluminum and has new springs and bearings. Ive added a walk way down the center so you can walk out in the water, grab the bow, and pull it all the way to the winch with great ease. Easy launch and recovery.
