Up for auction is a rare 1963(?) Ski-Bird Water Kart which is a single seat boat which can accept up to a 22 HP outboard motor. I purchased this boat from a gentleman who was selling a 1969 GW Invader 10' Boat together with this Ski-Bird as a package deal. I have kept it stored in my garage since I bought it last year and now I need the room so I am selling her on Ebay. The previous owner has begun the restoration by removing the rotted core and glassing in new transom and core. I have done nothing to the boat since it's been in my possession and don't know much about working with fiberglass or I would go ahead and finish the restoration. The boat hull comes with original chrome trim rub rail, top and bottom hull. I located a period correct steering wheel which I will include with the boat.
The boat doesn't have a title or Hull Identification Numberbut I can provide a Bill of Sale to buyer. Not sure how other states handle it but a boat with no HIN#can be registered as a "Kit Boat" or "Homemade" to register. You will need to check with your local state government to verify how to title the boat.
Solid little hull that needs sanding and body work to get ready for paint or gel coat. The previous owner was told it was a 1963 Ski-Bird but can't confirm. These little water rockets were produced by GW Invader and sold by Ski-Bird Marine in Indianapolis Indiana for a few years. Not many of them left as far as my research can tell me. No Motor, No Trailer is included or available. The hull is very light and can be easily transported in the back of a pickup truck. No shipping, boat must be picked up at my residence which is located in Arlington Tennessee just outside of Memphis.
