Wellcraft Suncruiser 225 1978/engine spins freely

Description

Engine was running when we quit using but that was years ago. The engine spins over freely when the starter is jumped(3/31/20). The engine used some oil and had a small gasket leak at that time. I believe the engine is a 305 or 307 Chevy. The former owner claimed it was a 1990 engine. Port side lower shelf exhaust manifold was replaced by former owner in 1994. The outdrive will need work especially the tilt gear gasket and maybe more. We installed "shore power" to be able to connect to transient docks and use the small room AC and have AC power also. The cabin is listed as a "3-sleeper". A dining table stores on the floor. You will need to buy a porta-potti for the head. Primary use was fresh water but we made 4-5 trips on intracoastal waterway. It has a tough fiberglass hull that takes waves very well. It cruises very well and efficiently when under power.(There is no guarantee that the engine/outdrive will function). One small area is shown where rot has occurred at the front of the engine compartment wall but did not repair this. The deck is reasonably sound to walk on throughout. There is good storage underneath the berth and under the main deck. Shown is a storage area across the entire beam for floatation devices under a padded flap or storage of canvas top and boot. The trailer has 4 tires replaced in 2019 and has surge brakes but the brake system will need repair. The total weight on truck scales was 6,100 lbs boat and trailer. A new "ultra-tow" tongue jack was installed in 2019. The outer hull is sound to my knowledge. It has a 20 gallon fresh water storage and 12 v. water pump as shown. The gas tank is a 100 gallon aluminum tank.The teak swim platform is solid(I stood on it totake pictures). The swim platform has a 3 step stainless ladder thatcollapses and stores on top of the platform. See the stainless steel grab handle added on top of the stern gunwale. Title is clean and in hand. Current SC registration is through March 2021. I just observed a crack(hole) in the hull to stern drive gasket 3/12/20 and now have a used spare tire/rim included for any unforeseen road emergency tire problem in transit. The trim switch on the shift handle produced a "click" like a solenoid was active. The tilt motor did spin but is not raising or lowering the outdrive at present.
