32' Wellcraft St. Tropez
Description
Up for auction is my 1988 Wellcraft St. Tropez 32' cruiser. The engines has less than 900 hours on them and they are fresh water cooled. We have twin Mercs 350 5.7L engines/ 260hp inboards which run perfect, not good but perfect. She just received a full tune up with the new style ignition sensors for the thunderbolt IV ignition with two new deep cycle batteries. This model also had the 454 engines for an option, but on the top end it was only 2-4 mph faster and got on plane better, but they where also very thirsty motors so the 350 was a better option. Prior to this season the boat was laid up for 5 years and properly winterized. The local marine mechanic knows this boat very well and maintained her for most of it's life "also was very good friends with the previous owner" which is why the boat is mechanically sound.
.
As of 9/13-2017, I have taken off the buy it now and the starting bid is starting at $5k because I just bought another boat and as much as I enjoy running her and going to miss the very large cabin, she has to go. Bidders that are not local I will make sure the boat gets loaded and prep it for transport. Last few pictures was recently taken a few days prior doing a fly by and cruising at 25 mph. If she doesn't sell, I will winterize her and sell her in the spring.
The interior of the vessel is very clean as seen in the pictures. She sleeps 6, two in the v-berth, two on the couch that turns into bunk beds and two"kids"with the retractable dinette that also turns into a sofa. New electric toilet for the head was also installed in August. A/C just been serviced and works good.
Exterior of the vessel is a bit faded but after a quick detail, the colors came back to life. Rear seats where taken out many years ago because we wanted the extra cockpit space especially for the occasional fishing we do. We mostly cruise up and down the Hudson River and around NYC. It's a view you just can't get enough of especially at night.
The only thing this boat needs is a new binimi/canvas top which is faded and needs new zippers for the driver side opening. Over the winter season I was going to have a new one made up but decided to sell her to get a fishing boat.
Prior to bidding you are more than welcome to come down to look at her and go for a sea-trial "for serious buyers only". Please do not bid and then ask to come down to inspect. Once you bid on her and win, the boat is yours. This is why I'm inviting you down to look at her prior to bidding if you are interested. The boat is located in Edgewater,NJ 07020 just south of the George Washington Bridge on the Jersey side. The slip does not come with the boat, I can leave the boat there for up to two weeks after the auction. Winter storage is also available at the marina next door for a reasonable rate which is $1600 and yes in north Jersey that's reasonable. The boat will only be shown by appointment only. This is a private marina with locked gates so I must accompany you while you are on the dock. Any present or past boat owners will understand this. I can also arrange transport to anywhere in the US. Average rate is $3.00 a mile because she's over sized at 11'8" wide. Full Specs will be below.
Pictures: First three pictures with the arch off where taken this week. I sold the boat last month to someone over seas and paid to have the arch removed to save money on shipping, etc. That deal fell apart after he received the actual rate not the original quote on the shipping which was more than the boat was selling for. The arch and canvas is still off but will be included in the purchase. I think it looks a lot better without it but that's only my opinion. There pictures that display the gauges are at cold start up to view the oil pressure.
Once again, the boat is located at Edgewater, NJ 07020 in the water. She Does Not have a trailer. This isn't the type of boat you trailer because over sized permits are required for every move.
