1987 Wellcraft Antigua cabincruiser
Description
This Wellcraft Antigua is a trailerable aft-cabin family cruiser (6000 lbs dry weight and requires a 2 15/16 ball, included). It sleeps six, 2 in the forward V-berth, 2 in the mid cabin, and 2 on the convertible dinette. An enclosed head (wet bath) and a full galley (hand-pump sink, 12v/120v fridge, 120v/alcohol stove) make it a great overnighter. It does not have a generator or heat/air, but there is enough space in the engine room to add them. The walkthrough windshield gives access to the foredeck, and the wide swim platform with ladder is great for hanging out.
The engine is the original Mercruiser 260 with new alternator, starter, carburetor, distributor sensor, dual-battery charger, and outdrive. All gauges, switches, stereo, and depth finder are new. She runs well and idles very quietly. We idle along at 1500 rpm and get 3 miles/gallon. She will plane at 4000 rpm and hit 40 mph.
Trailer tires are new. All cushions have been recovered with marine vinyl. Helm chair has been replaced with reversible bench seat with built-in ice chest.
It has been fun renovating it and using it for weekends on Lake Martin, but I am ready to part with her because I am moving. A full-sized pick-up will handle her just fine.
Will consider any reasonable offer or trade.
