2011 Stingray 185LS LX Our 185L bowrider is like a Swiss Army Knife - it's compact but packed full of features seldom seen in a package this size. Start at the helm, where you find a sporty Dino Italian steering wheel, and a full array of instruments, backlit and trimmed in rich woodgrain paneling. The dash has a lower rake than previous models for better visibility. You'll find a digital hour meter and a 12V receptacle for charging cell phones, spotlights, or other accessories. On the passenger side is a locking glove box, oversized drink holder, heavy-duty stainless grab rail, a flat spot to mount electronics and a radio / CD mount recessed beneath the windshield for optimum protection. The bow is wider and longer than the 180 predecessor. Solid stainless steel rails, not plastic handles, line the perimeter. Forward of the two well-padded, roll-and-pleated lounge seats is an insulated cooler with a non-skid hatch that doubles as a boarding step. Oversize drink holders flank the cooler. The 185L is available in two seating configurations: X and S. The X model sports two adjustable buckets with a full-width rear lounge and sunpad. The S version offers a driver's bucket, an adjustable back-to-back lounge and aft jump seats. Low Engine Hours, Spare Tire/Prop, Bimini Top and Boat Cover - Very Clean.

Test Report by Others -We had good visibility from everywhere, even before the 185LX hit plane at 2,200 rpm. Cruising speed with the 3.0L was about 31.5 mph at 3,500 rpm.
When we punched the throttle forward all the way, we were amazed to see our GPS telling us that we were traveling at 48.1 mph. That's an amazing speed when you consider 1) the 185LX's extremely low price and 2) that the 2,155-pound boat is being powered by a 135 hp base engine package. When we tested the Maxum 1750 last year, the 2,000-pound boat only hit a top speed of 40.8 mph with the 3.0L MerCruiser. The Princecraft 190, a deckboat weighing 2,432 pounds, only made it to 38.8 mph. The Stingray 185LX boat made it to plane in 5 seconds, and we jumped from 0 to 30 mph in 10.5 seconds.
The 185LX was very maneuverable, and it did well in turns. There was no sliding through corners.
The boat felt very solid, with no cavitation or blowout. Stingray includes custom engine vibration dampeners, which make for a smoother, quieter ride.
