The 28-foot Sea Ray 280 Sundancer is a good-looking Express Cruiser even by today's standards. With her wraparound windshield, sleek lines, comfortable cabin, and integrated swim platform the 280 is a boater's dream. The 280 rides on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull with a flared bow and a wide 10-foot, 6-inch beam. The twin 205 hp MerCruiser engines, pairedwith Alpha I Sterndrivescruise the 280 Sundancer in the 20s and can reach a top speed of 30+ knots.
BELOW: The Sundancer's full height, wide-open cabin layout delivers comfortable overnight accommodations for as many as six adults. The floor plan is arranged with V-berths forward and a wide double berth in the good-sized mid-cabin. The dinette converts into a double berth for extra overnight guests.
TOPSIDE: The visibility from the elevated helm bench seat is excellent, and bench seating in the cockpit will accommodate several guests. The rear facing bench seat (new vinyl in Jan 2020) can accommodate several more. Two hatches in the rear deck provide excellent access to the engines.
HULL: The fiberglass deep-V hull is in great condition. Cleaned and painted in October 2019.
POWER: Twin MerCruiser 4.3-liter 205-hp Gas Engines with Alpha I sterndrives. Engines started and tested this Spring (March 2020). They have good compression and they run great. Sterndrives were replaced in 2017 and still look brand new. Props are new. All the mechanical maintenance is up to date; including fluids, oils, filters, impellers, zincs etc.

CABIN: Sleeping accommodation for six. Head includes vacu-flush toilet, vanity, macerator, sink, and shower. Galley has 2-burner electric cook top, sink, refrigerator with freezer, and microwave. Pressure water system. Hot Water Heater. Built in vacuum system. AM/FM Stereo. Cabin is heated and air conditioned. Settee to port with Dining/Cocktail Table (Converts to berth). Both the forward V-berth and mid-cabin berth have been recovered (Jan 2020).
DECK: Bow Pulpit, Windlass Anchor, Forward Deck Hatches (3), Radar Arch, Swim Platform w/Boarding Ladder.
ELECTRONICS: Garmin GPS/Chartplotter, Compass, VHF Marine Radio, Depth / Speed Indicator all in working order.
ELECTRICAL: Three (3) new batteries (Oct 2019), Battery Switches (2, Battery Charger, Generator, Dockside Shore-power Plug with new shore power cord, 12V Accessory Plug-In, New engine compartment heater (Nov 2019).
SAFETY: New signaling and safety kit (Oct 2019), Halon Fire System, New fire extinguishers (Oct 2019). New life vests for up to 8 adults (Oct 2019), running lights, horn, windshield wipers (3). Windshield wipers need to be replaced.

Needs a new Bimini top, and camper canvas. There are some cracks in the vinyl cockpit bench seat. Most vinyl side panels have been replaced/recovered, but one panel on the port side and one on the starboard side have not yet been replaced, and they have some cracks in the vinyl. Windshield wiper blades need to be replaced. As far as I know, everything else on the boat works; although I have not tested the fresh water system, generator, heating or air conditioning systems.
The price is reduced for quick sale because I am moving to Virginia (nowhere near water).
