Up for sale is a 1958 fiberglass Takaba launch. Salt or Fresh Water. a: U.S. Navy Diesel DA High head Buda 40 HP -- Built in 2001 to factory specs and gently used since. The last time I saw this engine being sold it cost $20,000 used so this boat is worth every penny. This engine will last you a lifetime. You will be hard pressed to find a boat this size with a diesel engine. This engine is very popular and you shouldn't much trouble finding parts for this engine but I doubt you will need anything if you keep fresh oil in it. I have the U.S. Navy service manuals for this engine. This is a 5-8-knot boat but can go faster with a different pitched prop or a larger prop. This boat will put a smile on your face every time you go out. This diesel engine sips diesel so few bucks will go a long way.
