Description

Lightning 13625. This was a fast boat for many years of club racing, and was once owned by Louis Nickels and has sailed in the Worlds and other championship regattas. She is beautifully balanced, and especially quick downwind,and has most of the 1980's updates. The hull is in great shape with only 2 professional repairs. There are no blisters on the bottom. The flexible mast is in good condition with one epoxy repair at the base, and the boom has been stored inside so it is practically new. The port fore deck delaminated and needs proper repair to maintain hull/deck integrity. The fiberglass/laminaterudder is in v. good shape. She has all Harken jam cleats,air blocks or bullet blocks and top quality lines. The stainless steel centerboard is raised with the drum system, and the jib downhaul isblock adjusted.

The sails are the hidden prize of this boat. All North Sails, she has two of everything: one good spinnaker and 4-year-old main and jib for everyday use, and a very recent set with only 2 seasons and brand new all-yellow spinnaker only used 3 times. She also has a 2 season old full body cover with embroidered number.

The trailer is serviceable withan original bed and self-lubricating hubs.
