Zephyr (originally named Cinch) is an original N.G. Herreshoff 12.5 Footer, built at the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company in Bristol, Rhode Island.She was contracted on August 4th, 1924 by Francis A. Harding; her hull number is 905 as shown on the 12 ½ registry.After 30 years of ownership, the Family has decided it is now time to find Zephyr her next steward.
The very popular 12-1/2 is noted for its excellent sailing characteristics, speed, comfort, seaworthiness, and safety. It is a very handsome keel sloop in which the hull shape, usage of interior space, and the rig, exemplify all the qualities of fine design. "She moves through the water like a little ship, solid, easy going, and spacious for her size."

Zephyr is bronze screw fastened cedar over steam bent oak frames with varnished oak trim. Gaff rigged with Main, Jib and Spinnaker she is in good condition and ready to go with a fresh coat of paint. Varnish is in good condition. Running rigging will need to be replaced. Zephyr includes a Triad Trailer with extending tongue for easy ramp launching.
Zephyr is currently rigged on her trailer for easily inspection in Swansea, MA.
