2012 Scout Sport 177 - Low Hours, Freshwater, Center Console Bay Boat
Description
This Scout Sport 172 is in excellent condition and has been used primarily in freshwater North Dakota and Minnesota lakes. It's only been in salt three times, all this spring, for some weekend gulf trips. The 70 HP Yamaha 4 stroke pushes the boat well and only has about 175 hours on it. The motor was serviced by the dealer I bought it from this past spring. The boat is in Smiths Station, Alabama now, I replaced the steel trailer that you see in most of the pictures with a 2005 aluminum Magic Tilt trailer with torsion axle suspension. I bought the trailer from a friend of mine this spring for saltwater use. Its an Alabama trailer - Alabama doesn't title or register trailers so all I can give is bill of sale on the trailer. The last few pictures show the boat on the aluminum trailer that is included with the boat.
Also comes with MinnKota Power Drive V2 trolling motor w/ foot control, a smaller Lowrance GPS w/ Downscan Imaging, a Minn-Kota on-board battery charger, front pedestal seat and boat cover.
The boat looks and runs like new. The only issues that I'm aware of are as follows:
1. The rub rail on the starboard side got an inch or so of dock rash recently as shown in the picture,
2. A couple of the snaps that hold the rear seat cushion down were broken. The remaining snaps do the job fine but I'd repair those if I kept the boat. See picture.
3. I found a ding in the fiberglass above the baitwell when cleaning it. Its hardly noticeable but you can see it if you're looking for it. It looks like a loose lead weight might have banged into it from a rod in the rod holder. I've tried to show it in the picture.
4. The handle on the trailer winch was too tight to the bow when fully winched onto the trailer. I put some wooden shims under the winch to add some clearance and it loads fine now but the shims should probably be looked at occassionally.
Other than those couple of items I'm not aware of any other issues with the boat. The boat is at my father-in-law's house and can be shown to interested parties when he's available to show it. I've always had very satisfied e-bay buyers and I want to keep it that way. This is a used boat and I can't give a warranty so its being sold "as-is" with no returns. However, if the winning bidder, after seeing the boat and before leaving with it, feels, in good faith, like the boat is not as described, I will refund the $500.00 deposit. The deposit must be paid withing 48 hours of winning the auction. Full payment must be received within 7 days of winning and the boat must be picked up within 2 weeks of the end of auction.
If you have any questions you can contact me via e-bay or call me at 706-573-0468.
