Vintage Hydroplane 10' Shovel Nose With Mercury Mark 55 (NO TRAILER)
Description
Vintage 10' wood hydroplane. Kit or plans are possibly Clark Craft Wetback or Hal Kelly design. The boat measures approximately 10' 4" from the transom to the bow. It is 60" wide at the widest part and the transom height is 15 1/2". This hydroplane is in excellent condition. The bow is covered in a very thin aluminum. The balance of the hydroplane appears to be very well built and there is no damage or rot. The paint is presentable. Included is a 1955-1959 era Mercury Mark 55 motor. The motor runs excellent and starts easily. There is a video available of the motor running. The boat features cable steering and a very nice hand throttle control as well as a gas tank. This is a hydroplane that can be dropped in the water and enjoyed. PLEASE NOTE!! THE TRAILER THAT THE HYDROPLANE IS STORED ON IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION!! It may be available for purchase separately but there is no title for the trailer and has been used only to store two hydroplanes on it. Local pick up only.
