Great boat ripe for repower. This is a 1985 Express,DON'T let the year put you off as too old. The overall condition of this boat is very good and will be discribed as accurately as possible. The reserve will be realistic as it is now surplus to my needs, so one way or another it's going to someone. I have been aware of this boat for the past 15 yrs or so. It's spent most of its life on a lift or under cover in the driveway. In 2007 the prior owner spent approximately $24k on a complete repower package. Since then the boat as done less than a hundred hours. I bought it last year and transplanted the running gear into a 2002 center console so that's the back story. Here are the details. Hull in good shape with no damage. No signs of stress cracks in the hull or deck. Gel coat is dull but not caulky and will buff out and polish back (see pic). Bottom paint is about 10 yrs old and most will come off with a good power washer. No blisters,never sat in water for more than a weekend. It was last used about a year ago.The fuel tank has been drained,it's always that ethanol free marine fuel in it so the tank should be fine.It has a transom shield adapter($1000 part 388981) this converts the old 290 cutout so it can accept an sx-a or dps-a outdrive (dps-m) won't fit this adapter. Seatin, gauges,misc electrical,in good shap, transducer,CDplayer,VHF likely work. Cuddy cabin is water tight,no leaks but grubby.Teak wood trim is clean and in decent shape. Good hard top with rocket launchers. Transom,stringers, all look good.No soft spots or delamination. Steering is intact and good shape.I/o bracket comes with it. Also comes with its original galvanized EZ loader roller trailer. The tires look great but on closer examination there is dry rot between the treads, likewise the brakes are not operational, axles,springs,hubs are in good shape. Virginia titles in hand.
