1973 W.D. Schock Santana 25. She is a masthead sloop, 24.5' long, draws 4'. Currently on the hard at Great Bay Marina in Newington. Specs here: http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=576. $4000 for boat and motor.
The good: price includes 2013 Tohatsu 9.9 hp longshaft 4-stroke outboard motor with electric start and charging system, worth $2,200 new, well maintained and with very low hours. Starts and runs flawlessly. Sails include main (2 reef points), roller-furling jib, and spinnaker. Sleeps four with berths on both sides and v-berth in bow. Equipment includes compasses, VHF radio, porta-potti, anchor w/ 300' rode, mosquito netting for hatches. New bottom paint this year, new cockpit sole (fiberglass over hardwood ply) in 2016, new roller furler drum and fore stay in 2013. Custom keel work by the original owner extending the fin keel makes this boat point like a dream, and her narrow hull lets her cut through the chop. This is a great first overnight coastal cruiser for a small family, or a daysailer on Great Bay for someone who really likes to fly.
The bad: most annoying issue is a slow through-deck rainwater leak on the starboard side, which I haven't been able to track down, but probably coming through the rub rail. Leak has caused staining of interior wood veneer in places. Topside woodwork needs refinishing. Sails are in functional condition but will need replacing in a few years, with one (professional) patch on jib. Could use a topside paint job. Windows will need resealing soon.
Other: can include an 8’ fiberglass dinghy for a little extra. Would also consider selling boat and Tohatsu motor separately ($2500 for boat, $1750 for motor), or selling the boat with a smaller motor (5HP Mercury longshaft 2-stroke) for $3000.
