Great sailboat here with trailer:
Vivacity 20 - British design, built in Spain in 1968. This 20 ft sailboat was designed to sit on the English mud flats as the tide went out. It is also a great boat because you can sail it right up to the beach and beach it if you know the beach is sandy. The boat has tons of storage and a great little cabin that can sleep 4 adults for weekend sailing trips. You can only sit up in this cabin, not standing height.
The stubby twin keels make for a very stable and forgiving sail boat. This is a great beginner's sailing vessel with it being light on the weatherhelm and easy to rig up.
- Full set of water proof marine grade cushions inside
- Full compliment of sails: Main Sail, Genoa Sail, Working Jib, Storm Jib, Jib Sheets, Main Sheet and tackle.
- Danforth Anchor
- 100 ft of 1/2" anchor line
- A couple small boat ladders for getting in and out of the water when you want to swim
- Flare gun
- Fire extinguisher
- Lots of other little spare parts and pieces and safety things.
- Handsome wood rudder and tiller
- Motor Mount
- 3 bumpers
- I have a stow-away port-o-potty for it and it has another custom option built in.
- The bottom of the boat was repainted with very high quality ablative paint since the last time it was sailed. I still have half a can, and at $300 per gallon its worth keeping around. This is the good stuff, loaded with copper. As much as I am environmentally conscientious, the cheaper bottom paints just don't work. Also, redid the boot stripe as you can see in the photo.
- Last year I also installed new windows.
- Two axle trailer designed specifically for the boat, with tongue extender and spare tire.
- Trailer does have a little surface rust.
Boat Needs:
- Unfortunately, the kicker motor I have will not start up (4hp Evinrude, Long Shaft). You would be most welcome to it if you are mechanically inclined but it may be time for a new one. This boat functions best with a 4-6 hp long shaft outboard.
- Some of the woodwork does needs some love or replacement.
- Also needs some new anchor chain.
