Description

A bit of her history:
The boat was built in 1967 and sailed across the Atlantic sometime about 10 years later. A little over a year and half ago I found her languishing in a yard near my folks lake house. I did a quick overhaul, replacing rotten bits of deck core, fixing up interior carpentry, re-painting, running electrical, and slowing refitting new gear here and there when I've had time.
I've primarily used her as writing retreat, anchored out in the peace and tranquility of the Pamlico river.
FEATURES:
12V battery and switch panel.
30W solar panel with solar regulator, and AC inverter.
10 gallon aluminum water tank in bilge.
New Whale manual faucet in galley.
Two stroke 3 hp Yamaha engine. Recently serviced. Starts first pull. Runs like a top.
6' sculling oar for moving boat in and out of harbor without a motor.
Good sails. Working jib with reef point. Makes this a very versatile sail that we've used as a storm jib in a pinch.
Gimbaled compass in cockpit.
Coleman two-burner propane stove.
Fold up, hinged mini dining or chart table.
12V oscillating fan.
Mast, spreader and deck spot lights.
Interior LED cabin light.
Full lead keel.
Bottom paint done 1 year ago. Lots of life left.
Heaps of storage.
2 anchors. 1 standard sized bruce and one massive 25 lb CQR storm anchor.
Full boat canvas sun awning with optional hook up for rain collection.
This boat could well suit a number of endeavors:
Cozy weekend getaway for a tiny home enthusiast, the perfect small vessel for gunk holing the sounds, or a stout and sturdy sea-going boat for some one set on further horizons.
I've loved living and working on the boat in between spates of other travel but long term stints away this coming year mean it's time to find her a new home.
