Description

1972 Allied Chance 30-30 in good condition and lake ready. It has been in fresh water since new at Lewisville Lake near Dallas, Texas. Engine starts easy and runs smooth. She handles well and is a lot of fun to sail.
The Chance 30-30 was the one and only racing boat built by Allied Boat Company during the 20 years of its existence. Allied turned to one of the greatest racing boat designers of the time, Britton Chance of Hughes Aerospace, to design the boat. In addition to the 30-30, Chance also designed America's Cup winner Intrepid and was one of the first designers to use carbon fiber in the marine industry. Applying his incredible skills to the 30-30, he created an incredibly fast boat, particularly when compared to the other models of Allied, a company that made its name from overbuilt, ocean-going cruisers.
Lake Ready. We have been sailing it for over a year without any issues. Engine was tuned up about 3 months ago and the transmission was overhauled one year ago. Main sail and Jib currently being used in good condition. Additional sail inventory consists of 4 additional sails with a few needing minor repairs. Mermaid A/C and heater needs Freon for proper operation.
