I believe in Detailed Description, Please Read Al, May be a long rea, but worth it

The Boat

If your looking for a perfect Trailer Sailor,Dayor weekend Boa, This may be the one ! Seaward, have always been one of the highest quality boats in this class as well as other, The reason you don't see many for sale is that the owners just don't wantto part with them (this one included ) with the 8ft Beam, which makes the boat more stabl, to the free standing carbon mas, with 190 ft of sail are, I can tell you from firsthand experienc, it does not get much easier than this .Its easy to load /unload frommost any ram, Sails unbelievably well in light air (have a short video on my phone showing ) and if your a lake /river sailor like I a, the height of the mast seems to get just above the trees blocking the wind !! haha yeah you know what I'm talking about !IRead on and ill try and detail everything I can about this boat !!

History

I am the second owner of this boa, The first owners bought New from Starboard yachts and only sailed it a few times in the 20 years they owned i, When I purchased i, I basically refurbished it from bow to ster, and by refurbishe, I mean cleane, resealed and updated .The boat was in good conditio, The bottom had never been painted and was/is Still shin, I just wanted to refurbish the boat so it was as new for my own use

Hull

I started by taking every nu, bol, wood ...Everything off the hull,The entire hull then was buffed and waxe, inside and out! The windows were rebuilt with new screen, and seals and reinstalled using 3m 5200.All the nuts and bolts were polished back to better than new shine. The teak on the hull was taken of, pressure washe, then in lieu of refinishing bac, I opted to paint the, This is not the only boat I have and refinishing the teak is a chor, one id rather not have to do, season in and season ou, So I painted them with color matched paint for outdoors (the best I could find).Plus look at i, To me it looks way bette, as sometimes the teak rails just look out of place .

Interior

Once stripped of the wood and cleaned and polishe, I used the same outdoor paint to paint the inside of the storage locker, and the raw fiberglass that you can barley see under the rear berth, Wo, Just adding the paint made the inside so much brighte, So I continued the paint treatment on all the locker covers and under the vee birth .The cushions were removed and I took out the old soft paddin, had the covers cleaned and replaced the padding with more firmer better foam .Don't ever ask me what the foam cost .lol I'm embarrassed to admit what I pai, but again was building for my family and , and just wanted the best .ThePorta Potty is brand ne, never use, the sink (as they call it) is a new Rubbermaid tu, the origo 1500 alcohol stove is in like new shape .The original seaward cups are included. The original specs say it can sleep 4 adults .Id say more like 3 adults(small ones atthat) or 2 adults and 2 kids at most .We have 2 adults and one kid that camp in it perfectly !

Mast

The mast is the carbo, free standing mas, they say its "lightweight" and I guess for what it i, it may b, but because if its length (32') it can be awkward to step the way I normally do it (the walk up method) They included a crank winch metho, but that requires two people to operat, and my wife has none of that !! haha ..So I designed an onboard mast raising system that's a true one man job and is wireless to operate .It consists of part one .I has a stainless mast crutch built that you could "roll" the mast out on .This eliminates having to tote it at all.Once pined in (I also added a screw less mast pin for quickness)you just raise the gin pole .hit the up button on the wireless remote to the atv winch and up she goes .It goes down just as easy. The winch box houses all the wiring for the wireless receiver and has lugs for a jump bo, or to charge the main batter, I started out just bringing a jump bo, but one day forgot to load i, so I installed a lawn mower battery so its all self contained .Also while I'm on the subject of the mas, the mast base was remove, repainted in hammer pain, and all the bearings were greased and reinstalle, I also updated the gasket to the newer styl, so with the mast up all the rain water iscompletely diverted.

Sail

The sail is like ne, I had it cleaned but it does have a couple of stains thanks to the lovely bird, Its still crisp .It uses lugs in a track so it goes up eas, and the boat is equipped with lazy jacks .I as well as the PO leave the sail stored inside .

Rigging

There is not much riggin, thanks to the free standing mas, but what is there is in great shap, The Main Sheet is like new and stays stored in a separate bag .The halyard is also in great shap, and is also used to hoist the mast via the gin pole.*note(I have seen some boats with a winch on the mast for hoisting the sai, I have never has any issue with it going up or adding the 5lbs of pressure needed to bend the mast at full sai, Not an issue for sur, I have thought about adding one mysel, but honestly see no reason to clutter the mast u, Just wanted to point this out)There is a rope and for the clunk that holds the mast in plac, its also in great shap, and that's ALL the rigging there is .I kno, awesome right !!

Motor

The engine is a Yamaha /Malta 3hp,I know it says 2hp and there is a reason for thi, The motor cowl had some sun damag, so when I repainted the cowl the only replacement labels I could find in the style that were original were the 2hp.The engine itself is like ne, If I had to guess id say there is only a handful of hours on i, If that .That being said I still serviced it full, replacing the impelle, lower gear oi, and plugs .While I had it apart replacing the impeller is how I can attest to the usag, the exhaust inside looked almost new .And this is the original motor .The mounting on the rudder was replace, and ill say it works grea, I can drive the boat onto the trailer with it .It is not a speed demon that's for sure .Id say it runs the boat at about 5 kts .

Cockpit

The design of the cockpit has you sitting lo, as in inside the boat instead of on the boa, And its awesome. It gives the feeling your in a much larger boa, I've had 4 adults in it comfortably and 1 kid on the deck. There is a table and stand for the cockpit that also doubles as the mid section of the vee berth .The table has been refinishe, as well as the pole .The tiller was refinished as well and a tiller tamer was added .The Bimini is new and was redone to clear the sail .I alsoadded two poles to the rearso it can stan, and all you need to do is strap the front to put it up.The hard poles for the rear I also installed quick release pins to make that part quicker .The Bimini cover is sewn into the Bimini itself

Trailer

I didn't do much to the trailer other than adding new tires and wheel, I updated the lights and wires to led type .and added new chains .its 1 7/8 ball .and works well

Electrical

There is not much electrical in the boa, The battery is ne, and I replaced all the switches in the pane, If anything in the future I would replace the cabin light with an led .Other than that is good !

Paperwork

I do have a title for the boa, as well as the trailer .Alabama does not title boats so its still in POs nam, But Its all ther, I also have the original paperwork that came with the boat when new (manuals )

Why I'm Selling

A good question sometimes never gets asked but always needs to be known .The reason I'm selling my seaward fox is that I also have a seaward 25 and a pontoon boat .My wife and I are in the market to purchase a lake house and unfortunately one has to g, I owe too much on the pontoon boat ! hah, and the 25 is not sellable at this moment .if by some chance I sold the 25 before this on, then I would keep the fox no doubt !I absolutely love the lil boa, I just cant have it all (as my wife tells me ).All that being said I am pretty firm on the pric, I know what these sell for and I know the difference between a "needs tlc" and Ready to sail is .I did not build this boat to sel, I didn't budge on anything in refurbishing it

Summary

Thanks for bearing with me for this long rea, I hope I covered everythin, If not I will answer any questions and amend items as I see them .I will work with the buyer on anything I ca, I will add a $300.00 non refundable deposit .If you buy it and decide that you don't want i, that's fin, but the deposit will not be refunded .I will help with getting any paperwork you nee, I wont leave anyone hanging on that stuff .Some additional items that will be included is a new winde, a 5lb claw ancho, chain,Nice blue docking lin, some life vests and a throw abl, couple of blue fenders .and ill show you everything about how to rig her up as well !
