13' Peapod, Custom Built by The Landing School, Like New Condition

This 13’ Peapod was custom built by The Landing School of Boat Building in Kennebunkport, ME to a design by Doug Hylan along the lines of a traditional Maine Coast Peapod. Known as the “Beach Pea” design, it is double ended, has a beam of 4’4”, a draft of 1’6”with the centerboard down, 3’ with the board up. Weight is approximately 130 lbs., with the sailing rig, which has never been used. The stems and keel are mahogany, all fasteners are silicon bronze, there are 2 rowing thwarts, with seats at both end, all of which are varnished mahogany. Rub rails are protected with a heavy canvass over rubber guard. The sail area is approximately 55 square feet, spars are varnished spruce. The boat is in excellent almost new condition, with only slight evidence of use. Included is a Wheel-Away trailer dolly, and a pair of Shaw & Tenney varnished oars, new condition.
