This boat is ready to go sailing! Comes with ALL necessary equipment to make sailing a great experience. Comes with dock bumpers, dock lines, boat hook, fire extinguisher, emergency flares, distress flag, horn, PFD's, Port-A-Potty, paddle, stainless steel boarding ladder mounted to the stern, a small aluminum ladder for getting in and out of the boat while preparing it for launch, toolbox with basic tools and some extra rigging parts,a small screw type jack that goes under the rear cross member of the trailer when it is unhooked from the tow vehicle so you can get in the boat without the front end rearing up, etc, etc.
The boat comes with a mainsail and jib, and a mainsail cover. All lines lead to the cockpit, making this an ideal boat for single-handing. Swing keel and swing rudder make this an ideal boat for getting into the really shallow areas.
Comes with an Evinrude 6 H.P. "Yachtwin" outboard and fuel tank. This motor runs great and is an easy starter. Motor is equipped with a generator for maintain a battery charge, though I have never used it. The boat comes with a rather new large deep-cycle battery for the lights and what ever else you might care to hook up.
I replaced oneset of wheel bearings and seal, but have not had time to do the other side. A new set of bearings, grease seal, and bearing buddy style hub for the other side are included.
Boat is licensed in Ohio until 2020.
The boat and trailer weigh about 1500 lbs. (best guess) I pulled it with my 4 cylinder Chevrolet HHR and it went down the road like there was nothing back there.
These boats seem to have a cult following. There is a Yahoo group dedicated to this model: go to groups-yahoo-com and search for HV17
