No Reserve. Please read very carefully. This boat belonged to my late brother. I am an attorney and have been appointed by the court to liquidate his estate. This is a 1979 Watkins sailboat aft cabin masthead sloop in the water on the Branford River in Branford, Connecticut. Includes main sail and jib which have about three to four seasons of use on them. The rigging was replaced approximately 5 years ago and appears to be in good shape. Navy blue sail cover and navy blue matching bimini top and stainless steel frame for cockpit enclosure included. Beam 10'6. Draft 4'5. 6'3 headroom. Displacement 17,000 lbs. Great cruising boat. Owners stateroom aft with entrance to the head from both owners stateroom and main salon in center of the vessel. Galley with stove on starboard side opposite head. Captains stateroom opens to cockpit. Main salon has its own hatch and ladder to access the deck. There is an additional hatch forward for added light and ventilation. Stainless steel wheel. Boat includes interior cushions, anchor, boat pole, life jackets, throw cushions, bumpers, shore power cable and older hand held VHF radio. The boat has working AC current to the outlets with shore power connected. Batteries are dead and need charging/replacement. The cushions have been stored inside. Two cushions are ripped and most if not all cushions had foam inserts replaced three years ago. The boat has a 40hp Perkins diesel engine which is not running. I do not know what is wrong with the engine so please don't ask as I can't provide any info on it. Ports need to be resealed or replaced and there is evidence of rotted interior wood under two of the ports which needs attention. See photos. This appears to be cosmetic and does not appear to impact the deck as the pitch of the interior forces water away from the deck. My brother owned this boat for about ten years. I have no history on the boat other than knowing that it was registered in Connecticut and he sailed it in Long Island Sound up until about three years ago. The boat is in the water at Sylvan Point Yacht Club in Branford, CT. It is being sold as is and is not subject to financing, survey or any other conditions. The successful bidder is required to make a deposit of $500.00 via PayPal within 24 hours of the end of the auction and payment in full upon removal of the boat. The boat will the need to be removed via a tow boat from its current location within three days of the end of the auction. The successful bidder may not work on or repair the boat at its current location. The boat cannot be sailed away due to the narrowing of the river channel at its current location. Failure to remove the boat within three days of the end of the auction will result in a loss of the deposit as the slip where the boat is located is rented for the summer. I will have a showing of the boat on Saturday, April 23, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and again on Monday, April 25, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for anyone who contacts me in advance and confirms their attendance. If you are interested in viewing you must contact me through e-bay. There will be no other showings and due to my schedule I cannot make exceptions. Individuals may not access the boat on their own as the gate to the docks is locked and for security the combination cannot be provided. There are no side deals and the deposit must be mad via PayPal and the remaining balance must be paid in cash or bank check at the option of the seller. There are no warranties, express or implied. Upon full payment and the buyer's demonstration of a present intent to remove the vessel from its current location, a bill of sale sufficient for registering the boat will be provided along with a fiduciaries certificate from the Probate Court. Probate court approval is not required for this sale. I have no other photos and no other information on the boat. I have the stainless steel wheel which goes with the boat. Someone asked about injectors for the engine. There are engine parts on the boat. I don't know what they are. Contact me through eBay and I will send you a photo of them.
