This is the first Freedom Chiquita we have had to offer for sale, so we were new to it when we got it. It is an impressive little boat. The size is deceiving for a 15 foot boat. When onboard it feels very big by comparison. It may be because of how wide the beam is for a 15 foot boat. It is very simple so there is not much to go wrong. The engine runs great as all these Mercury four strokes these days have mastered reliability and fuel efficiency. The trailer is beautiful for a trailer. It is very well suited to the boat. The only thing I would change is to put a bump stop up front by the crank. It is obvious that if you come in too hot that you will hit the crank. This is what happened with the ding I pointed out in the pictures. It is strictly cosmetic. The boat has no scratches or bottom marks of any kind. Very good boat overall. I did a little research on the net before posting this and found this quote on a forum. I think it sums up the boat well:
"My main huntingbuddy has one and we fish and duck hunt using it a lot. It runs stupid shallow, it will run in 3 inches of water without dragging the skeg and will get up in 8 inches of water easily. The only thing I don't like about it is that the front of it is pretty flat and will take a wave over the front if you're just idling in choppy water. It feels a little bigger than 15 ft when you're in it. I would love to own one for a 1-2 person boat, very simple and easy to maneuver alone. My buddy has a 60 hp four stroke on it and it runs just fine with it, does about 32 WOT."
