You are buying a 100% water ready duck boat. Boat, blind, and 35 hpmotor. Drop it in the water and you are hunting. Take the blind off (in 1 minutes)and you are fishing. The blind just sits inside the boat so you can easily remove it. I purchased a brand new duck boat so I am selling a couple of my older duck boats. This boat is a 1985 Polarcraft 1650 jon boat (16 feet long, 50 inches wide at the bottom and 72 inches at the top) jon boat. It is extra wide and extra deep and is extremely stable whether you are hunting big water or small potholes. I just had the boat taken in to a local machine shop and they water tested the boat for leaks and painted it. They also rebuilt and painted the trailer.
The trailer is heavy duty and fits the boat perfectly. IT HAS 4 BRAND NEW TIRES. The old ones were a little weather checked so I had them replaced. You can pull it down the road at 80 mph and not even know it is back there.
The motor is a 1999 Johnson 35 hp two-stroke with electric start. It does not have tilt and trim but it does have a shallow water setting. This boat was used for duck hunting in deep water and has very few hours for the year. The thing looks and runs like new. The prop is in great shape. I just had it to the local marina and they checked the compression (135 lbs in all 3 cylinders), the impellor (good), tuned it up, and fully greased. I have all of my boats serviced by a marina.
The blind was welded by a local machine shop an is very sturdy. The blind alone cost $1,520 new. It sits right in the boat so you don't have to drill any holes. You can remove it in literally 1 minute. The blind is also constructed so it can be easily modified if you want it to be a real low profile blind. I don't like shooting from a sitting position so that is why I left it a little higher profile. Again, with an hour of work at a welding shop, it can easily be modified to as low as you want it. IT DOES COME WITH THE FAST GRASS YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE. And extra sheets to cover the shooting holes. The blind also has 2 lights in the front and one in the back.
This setup is ready to drop in the water and start hunting.
The boat is located in Marion, IA (Cedar Rapids area). I do travel the Midwest for work and might be able to meet someone if my schedule permits. I have it priced to sell but I am a motivated seller as I just picked up my new boat. I might be open to partial trades but would prefer cash.
Please contact me through Ebay or call/text me at 319-360-2286. I do have it listed on local sites and will close this if it sells there first.
