O'Day 222
Description
1984 O'Day 222. Solid boat. Hull was polished in the spring and still beads water like it was done yesterday. Bottom was painted in the spring, and the teak was sanded and refinished with teak oil. Interior floors have also been refinished. Sails are in good shape, the 135% roller furler jib was serviced in July. The mailsail cover could be replaced but it does the job. The tandem axle had allthe bearings replaced this spring as were the lights. No title for trailer, in NJ trailers under 3,000lbs are only registered which this one has. 1998 8hp Johnson runs great and comes with a 3gal tank. Boat isn't perfect, but for her age she's still looks great. Has a shore power hookup. Great Shoal draft with a easy to pull up fiberglass centerboard by hand compared to the giant iron centerboard on Mcgregors, Catalinas, and other swing keel boats that requires a crank and steel cable.
