You are bidding on a 1983 Newport II 28' Tall Rig Sailboat in very well maintained, clean, & fully seaworthy/ready condition.. This boat has a Universal M25 fresh water cooled diesel engine, with 465hrs on it & full engine gauges.. Donor started the engine & demoed it on 10/10/16 - Started smooth & ran good.. Boat decks solid all around, all sails included, Main & Jib.. Comes with a Garmin 740 series widescreen GPS/Depth finder with new NY chip.. Manual included, features latest GPS tech & satellite imagery.. Boat also has an AM/FM/CD deck & a VHF radio.. Cabin is quite roomy & smelled dry & clean, everything is in nice shape.. The V-berth sleeps 2, there is a fully enclosed head with toilet, sink, & shower washdown.. There are two couches port & starboard with a table that folds out from the wall of the head for people on both couches to use.. There is a galley with a natural gas powered oven & 2 burners, natural gas bottle nearly full & is in deck compartment.. Boat has shore power hookups & cable, 25 gallon fresh water tank, 15 gallon diesel fuel aluminum tank.. Roller furling jib, Edison steering system, Lumar winches, all items & equipment needed for sailing onboard.. Lifejackets, bumpers, ropes, etc, rail mounted Magma BBQ grill, etc.. many extras included.. Bottom was painted in the Spring 2016.. Boat has a clear NYS transferable registration/title.. This is one of the more outstanding Sailboats that i have seen this year, Newport's are excellent & world renowned vessels that perform great on the water!..

If you win the auction, you need to either move this vessel from it's mooring by 10/26/16 or make arrangements otherwise with the marina.. Once you take ownership you can keep the boat moored where it is or have hauled & stored until you come & get it..

Boat is able to travel by motor power or sail power right now.. It is located in water in a harbor in Huntington, on the North shore of Long Island..

If you intend on hauling this out of water & trailering that is okay as well.. The boat is located at a full service marina capable of hauling the boat out & onto your trailer or transport for whatever fee that would be.. Be advised this is a fixed keel vessel & the mast would need to be stowed..
