Fully restored 1958 +/- wooden Comet. Built by Lippincott hull #3435. I found the hull listed in the "Comet Class Yacht Racing Association Inc." handbook for 1962.
7 stay sloop rig.
Original mast, boom, tiller, and bronze center board.
New main and jib by Haarstick sail makers. 2011
New running and standing rigging by Shumway Marine 2008
New worm drive (not original to boat) for easy lowering and raising center board.
New mahogany rub rails.
Rudder modified because of damage. New pintils and gudgeons.

How did the boat get its' name?
The deck is bright yellow and in the beginning quite porous so--- "Sponge Bob" was perfect.
Trailer included. Lights work and has current tranferable registration. Takes a 1 7/8" ball.
