My 36 ft Priaie was in an
[1] accident where a sport boat drove up on the port quater or transom.
[2] Irma, where she was gently pushed up on the mangroves
She runs and runs good. Just bought new starters which have to go in.
Ive owned alot of boats in my 59 years. 30 years in the Marine business https://salvagor.com/
I love this little seaworthy tug. Jack Hargrave who designed the Hatteras 53, at the end of his career Designed this Trawler. All I can say is it blows the doors off the Grand Banks, the Albin, and the others. Why. Because he opened it up.
"The Prairie 36 was designed by renown naval architect Jack Hargrave of Hatteras Yachts fame and manufactured in Clearwater, Florida by the Prairie Boatworks Company. The resemblance to the Hatteras LRC is evident and Prairie’s are highly desirable and known to be very tough trawlers that make great cruisers and/or liveaboard vessels. She is powered by 135hp Perkins diesels."

Prairie Coastal Cruisers are few and far between, so you may not get another opportunity like this. Reminiscent of a Monk or Grand Banks Classic, but with so much more! Its 13' 9" beam affords more living space than you would expect in a 40' boat, in an easy to drive, economical 36' format.
The current owners recently towed a catamarn back from Eluther, Spanish Wells the Bahamas. traveled 500 miles with ininmal fuel costs, including running the generator!

The light and open galley-up format keeps the cook part of the party. With step-on/step-off boarding access, Trawler Life is easy on the knees. The aft deck is covered, railed, and screened for shade, safety, and privacy. And the flybridge is spacious and easily accessible. No climbing ladders to have lunch on the fly! Rarely does a boat "have it all" like this one does. The thoughtfulness of design, combined with the personalized and resourceful touches added by the owner, makes Trawler Life a perfect boat for spending lots of time on board without giving up the comforts of home.
