1980 Grady White Kingfish 254 2 engine fishing boat
Description
This boat was built in 1980 according to the title, but she's had significant upgrades and improuvement since then. The engines and out drives are new from 2000. The engines are Merc's LX 3.0 140 HP, the outdrives are alpha 1 gen 1 with no issues and I have winterized carefully every year, she's be shrink wrapped and stored.
2 years ago we removed both engines and everything else attached to the transom and replace it entirely. This was done by a guy who used to work for Grady down in Florida, if you wanna come look at it you'll be impressed. It has two layers of glass, resin and marine plywood. It's about 5" thick now.
When the transom was complete we took the opportunity to replace both blowers all the freshwater plumbing (she has a fresh water pump to fill the live well and supply fresh water to the deck hose). Shes got 2 new pro marine battery charges and 4 new AGM batteries.
She has 2 new plastic gas tanks and all new hoses and filter holders and 1 new filler valve. When I got her she had 1 vent and 1 filler, but I wanted everything separate. So now both engines share nothing, they have separate fuel tanks, battery banks, chargers, keys, wiring, everything. They also both have new (reman) carbs.
This boat has been my project and my baby for years, but I just don't fish as much as I used to.
I've saved the best for last; the technology. She's got a Garmin auto pilot which consists of a gyro, computer, control module and a bump that interfaces with the hydraulic steering lines. The Garmin uses sea talk to talk to the Humming bird fish finder / GPS with an external antenna and side scan, and 7" screen and all that stuff. You can set a track or waypoints on the GPS and feed them to the Garmin, she essentially drives herself.
She's got a ac/dc fridge which switches automatically when you're on shore power and a cooler which drains out of the boat as the ice melts.
Included are two Canon down riggers and numerous fishing poles, lures, flys, rees, everything you need to fish today.
trailer is 3 axle that make it up to MI from south Carolina, I recently replace a wheel bearing, but I've kept her greased up and she's never given me any trouble
I'm an honest seller and this a very good deal. I need her out of the driveway.
You could take her apart and sell the engines and out drive and get your money back there and sell the rest for profit. But I hope the buyer will use her to fish. I've never used her in salt water and I've stored in my driveway on dry land.
No scams, I'm too smart for all that so don't waste my time. Questions just ask, local serious buyers can some have a look we can start her in the driveway or take her for a sea test.
I know I can get more in the Spring but I need the $$ now so I've set the reserve quite reasonably.
