She’s built on a narrow deep-V hull with a keel pad and a sharp 22 degrees of transom deadrise. At just over 5,000 pounds. the Fountain 29 is a light boat for her size, and a lot of high-tech construction techniques—including vinylester resins and high-density foam cores—have gone into keeping the weight down. While many other 29-footers have larger cockpits, the deck layout of the Fountain is completely uncluttered and includes a 50-gallon circulating live well, rod holders, in-floor storage, and a slightly raised casting platform forward with storage under. The console is designed with a lockable electronics box and bench seating forward. This is a very fast boat with Reggie Fountain’s reputation and capabilities for handling in rough seas.
