1983 Donzi 18’ Classic/ Freshwater Use!!

Up for auction is a beautiful 1983 Donzi 18 Foot Classic Italian Speedboat. This boat was made four years prior to Don Aronow’s Death. This is a barn find. Vessel was kept indoors, under three boat covers for most of its life. This boat was used in freshwater primarily in Lake Heron, Lake Placid, Florida area. This boat has the original gel coat. Motor was replaced in 2007, and motor runs very strong, it started on the third rotation of the motor after sitting (no fuel in tank at all) for a Year or two. I have a video of this if you wish to see it. Lower unit went into gear, trim tab pumps are running but need servicing. Needs a new fuel line, water separator, and it has a water leak around the thermostat housing, I can show in video if you call me for more info or pictures. Left hand “8 Ball” shifter and left hand steering, shifter needs to be re installed, and I have an original prop and original rear pointed prop cover (don’t know what the exact term is for it) I have the cockpit cover, It’s in bad condition but you can use it for a template, there is also a spare prop In usable condition but has a chip in it, I have the exhaust baffle covers, and the seats are original and in very good condition. I have all receipts for motor install ($2600, Bimini ($800) and everything else done to the Donzi. Stainless Rub rail needs to be re screwed where it meets Together, two screws are loose and the rub rail is sticking out about an inch where it comes together. Needs a new flagpole holder and two hydraulic arms for the motor hatch. Also comes with two blowers for bilge/motorCompartment. Gauges seem to work, tach, oil pressur, don’t know about fuel gauge because I started with a remote tank. Has a few smallareas where the gel coat Needs attention,But overall cosmetically this vessel is an 8.7 out of 10 (in my professional opinion) a real gem of a find, you can hear it coming, it’s a classic, vintage head turner for sure. Trailer is a tandem quick load, it will have four new tires on it upon pickup, hubs have been greased, bunks, leaf springs, shackles,spindles Bearing Buddies, crossmembers, are all good. This trailer has brakes but they are not working, but neither are the hubs locked up, Trailer rolls fine, no issues to speak of at all.Clean and current registration For trailer.Also clean title in hand for boat. 561-329-4695.
