2014 Cobalt 24SD - Single Owner, Fresh Water Boat, Immaculate

Description

This is a single/original owner boat, used in freshwater only, was purchased new from and serviced by an authorized Cobalt dealer. When not in use (summer months only), the boat was stored indoors (temperature controlled) at the marina. I should mention this boat is listed as 24 feet, it is actually 24’ 6”. In addition, this boat has a new design element in regards to its cockpit width, which is 91” as compared to a Cobalt 242, which has a cockpit width of only 87”. In short, this boat is very roomy. This boat handles great and provides a smooth, dry ride on the water.

This boat is still covered under warranty.

Well, we have all been there and said, “Boy, if that person ever sold their boat I would buy it in a heartbeat”. Why you ask? Because you can tell by both looking at the boat and observing the owner the care they put into the boat. In short, this boat has been meticulously cared for since I purchased it new.

Why am I selling it?

Even though I love boating and enjoy passionately maintaining the boat (yes, I am the same guy who details his car with Q-tips), my daughter is going into high school and is getting involved in other activities over the summer, hence that is where I want to spend my time.

Value Proposition

Why should you buy this boat vs. others? Most importantly to start with is the quality Cobalt offers.You can research this on your own, but I can state that I have had trouble free operation. In addition,I would also speak very highly of the Volvo Penta V8-320 with Duoprop (2 stainless steel props), this engine was an upgrade when bought new. It runs like a champ, is issue free, not a gas hog and only has 92 hours on the engine. There are a lot of cool features on this boat, but three I would like to call out are:

• Flip-Down Swim Step, once you use this feature you will never want to use a boarding ladder again
• Dual type gauges(Analog and Digital). Speed, RPM, fuel, and trim have analog gauges, but the digital gaugesnot only show these items, but things like depth, water temp, air temp, oil temp, etc.
• Storage, there is a ton of it. As an engineer by trade I tend to be critical of design. This boat is very well thought out. You will love the design.
