Hello, I am listing my 1956 Chris Craft Cavalier. It is 16' in length and sits on a single axle trailer.
I do have a clear Massachusetts title in my name. The boat was recently sanded down to bare wood, stained with Interlux filler stain CC red and Captains varnish applied. The finish is not yet glass as I lost my storage space. I installed the trim for the sake of pictures and this sale. You can use it as is or sand and varnish as many times as you would like. The bottom and bilge were painted this spring as well. The bottom was glassed at some point but it is tastefully done. Very dry boat except for the stuffing box. Outside has some minor imperfections shown in pictures.
All chrome is original and in great shape for the age.I have a perfect Hercules IXB engine ready to go in. (Dark blue motor on cart in pictures)
I have the original Hercules IXB engine that I pulled due to a blown head gasket. While it is 99% complete I intended on using it as a parts motor. It has a brand new rebuilt starter from Robert Hinkle and a rebuilt 12v generator. (bright blue motor on cherry picker in pictures)
Two Chris Craft propellers, two mechanical fuel pumps (one broken), engine mount wedges, misc pieces.New windshield, new wax in the stuffing box, engine installed, linkage installed, odds and ends
Single axle trailer with some rust. Tires are mediocre but I tow the boat 160 miles routinely.Lights work.2" ball.New crank
The trailer is registered as home made in Massachusetts.
The boat is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction earlier if sold.
Will entertain trades for BMW E30 of equal value, old truck, land rover, or perhaps something interesting.
Local pickup only.
