Restored 1955 Chris Craft Holiday
If you grew up with wood Chris Crafts you will appreciate this lovely 1955 Chris Craft Holiday.
This boat was built at the Chris Craft plant in Cadillac, Michigan in early 1955 and shipped to a dealer in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.
All paper work for this boat is available including the original bill of sale (showing that the Serial Numbers of the Boat and Motor match from the Factory) along with a set of plans that were used to restore this boat including manuals for the engine, transmission, and carburetor.
It had been setting in a neighbor's backyard for a few years, and before it was too late we intervened.
Over the last 4 years it has been completely and painstakingly renovated with expert craftsmanship and the finest materials and hardware available. We started the lengthy process to renovate, (It took us 4 years, approximately 2500 Hours) stripping the hull bare, replacing damaged pieces on the frame with White Oak. All wood on the frame was sealed with 2-part penetrating epoxy (inside and out). The bottom of the boat is fiberglass over Mahogany wood and marine plywood. The Mahogany is all new wood secured with bronze and stainless screws! The boat is extremely stable.
We have applied 11 coats of high gloss Spar varnish on all Mahogany, we also applied 4 coats of bronze bottom paint on the hull, and applied 2 coats of gray oil base paint to the hull interior.
We had many of the metal parts re-chromed.
The 6volt DC electrical system has been completely refurbished
The motor is an original Chris Craft Model KLC 120hp Flat Head 6-cylinder inboard. The motor was completely rebuilt by a professional mechanic. All new internal parts and 6-volt electronic ignition was added. The original 6-volt generator and the starter has been rebuilt. The heavy-duty trailer has new tires and wheels.
Here is a wonderful little piece of the past for only $29,900.00
We have before and after photos available.
