1932 Chris Craft 15' 6" Model 300 Runabout (project)
Description
You are bidding on a boat that I acquired in the late 90’s as a retirement project. Time is running short and I must downsize. The hull is complete with hatches and all running gear and deck hardware and all hull plates I have two period correct engines (Chrysler Regals) for this project as shown on the Hull Card. One has been rebuilt and one is in a torn down state but is very rebuildable. The trailer is serviceable for the Hull only as pictured. New tires and bearings were installed in 2012 when transported from Michigan to Florida. Some items that I was unable to acquire over the years and are not included in this posting: Transmission, Carburetor & Instruments. Other wise I believe it is complete.
The model 300 is the smallest prewar runabout that Chris Craft Made…Few have survived. It is a real piece of history and is worthy of restoration. That said, this boat is great project for small venue (two car garage) Images of a completed hull are shown for all to dream upon.
I have restored 3 Vintage wooden boats and will answer any questions now, and during the successful bidders journey, just Say'n.............TOM
