For sale is an 1971 16’ Boston Whaler Montauk. This boat is in good condition and has been refurbished in the past, including several recent repairs.I have owned it for 9 years and used it annually in Texas at a 10 week Christian camp for fishing and tubing with great joy and success.
The Montauk is being sold in “as is” condition due to the age of the hull and the maintenance it has received. It is, however, in sea-worthy operating condition with the 90 hp. Johnson outboard motor fully operational.
Everything you see in the pictures of the boat, motor, and trailer is included in the sale. There are several additional items that can go with the boat and will be made available to the buyer at point of sale. Most of it is free as I am leaving the boat ‘business”, having retired from summer camp directorship. Items include Bimini frame, BW diagram specs, book of BW history, and other used items and materials for the boat.
I love this boat and have mixed feelings about selling it.My children have announced, however, that they each want different kinds of water craft and not my Whaler, (jet skis and pontoon boats!!!), so I am putting it up for sale, reluctantly, and investing in other family recreational vehicle projects,

Note to bidders:
Pictures included do not clearly show the cosmetic condition of the boat up close.Although the vessel is fully functional and seaworthy, it has been repaired by owners prior to me and has many cosmetic flaws. It isnotshowcase, but is highly functional and ready to use, except for stern bench seat installation. The starting bid, and “buy it now” prices reflect this condition for the sale.(Were the cosmetic condition superior, prices would be considerable higher (+5K)
