Classic Boston Whaler 13' - I am selling my baby because I bought a Montauk 17.If you have been hunting for a nice Whaler 13 for a decent price -- this may be it.I finished restoring the hull with Interlux Brightside in 2014 - it is a dry solid hull, no soft spots - no big glass repairs, never had bottom paint - the running lights work using "molded in" wiring. I believe the rub rail is an original. Original Whaler cable steering with upgraded with stainless steering wheel and Volrath stainless pulleys. My paperwork has it as 1971, but the hull number uncovered during restoration indicates it is 1965. The side rails and console have a few original wood sections left but the interior wood needs to be replaced to match the hull condition. I installed two seats with backrests for my lake fishing needs. The sale includes enough beautiful wide quarter sawn mahogany.to recreate the original interior. (paid $6 per board foot)The engine is a 1978 Johnson Sea Horse 25 HP, electric start, short shaft (model 25E78C), with a six gallon fuel tank and over sized battery. Motor starts easy and runs as it should. Makes 5000 RPM (measured by a digital tach). Boat planes quickly and has good speed and sips pre-mixed fuel.Tilt trailer was custom built for this boat. The rig is light weight launches and tows easy with smaller cars. Buddy Bearings, led lights, walk board, spare wheel and tire - I will throw in a new pair of springs.
Rewired with fuse panel and lighted switches and bilge pump, Everything works as it should - comes with PFD's, anchor, dock lines. Ready to go fishing. This is a safe easy to handle boat. Great for a beginning boater or single handed operation. Restoring the mahogany interior could be a great father and son or winter project and add resale value.
