Introduced in 1998, the Boston Whaler 26 Outrage is a trailerable(included)
center console built on Whaler's then new deep-V hull--a big
step up from the company's earlier hard-riding hulls. The 26 is a
well-conceived, if traditional, boat with a large console, generous
storage, plenty of seating, and excellent range. Like most center
consoles her size, there are two fish boxes built into the cockpit
sole, and a foldaway seat forward of the transom stores out of the
way when not needed. Standard features include an integrated dive
platform with ladder, 30-gallon above deck live well, leaning post
with removable backrest, forward seating with storage under, tackle
station, cockpit bolsters, raw-water washdown, transom door,
anchor locker, and an integral bow pulpit with roller. Note the aggressive
nonskid surface of the decks. The walk-in head compartment
includes a sink and shower in addition to a Porta-Potti. The
Outrage is unsinkable thanks to her foam-core hull construction. A
good performer with twin 200hp Mercury Optimax's outboards, engine have been *upgraded to 2002 Specs, she'll cruise at 35mph and reach a top speed in the low 50s.
