Description
Relisted due to time waster.
This boat is superb, and has been my pride and joy for the last three years. It is the second boat I have owned and is easily the best. I did my due diligence before I bought this and know I made absolutely the right decision.
Make me a sensible offer and it could be yours.
I will be very happy to arrange any inspection or sea trial.
My baby is without doubt of of the cleanest, well kept 1999 26ft whalers you will ever find, and likely will never find with this superb Yamaha 4 stroke low hours combos. Total of 400HP- Fast. Reliable. Frugal. Warranted Motors!
Lots More pictures-
There are another 140 + HD pictures you can view on the following secure link-

Please note the pictures are taken without the boat being detailed or cleaned well- straight out of the Marina dry storage and a spray down with fresh water! When detailed or given a thorough cleaning she looks stunning.
Only 269 hours on the engines with both 100 mile services completed! Yes only 269 hours!!!
Guestimated use- 20-30 hours running fast to fishing grounds offshore and the rest a combination of trolling speed and 1100rpm wandering the canals around Ft Lauderdale. In other words very light use.
Boat always garaged/dry stored and engines always flushed with fresh water after use.
Hydraulic steering is fitted on each engine independently instead of the usual cheaper one hydraulic unit that is linked.
This makes for lighter steering with less pressure on the hydraulic unit so should last much longer without issue!
This is both the perfect serious fishing machine, and the perfect family boat for gentle rides along the canals. It has an extremely shallow draft so is also a great lake boat..
That said this is a big purchase for anyone and all I can say is I look after everything I own well and I am a very trustworthy seller. I have considerably more invested into this baby than I am asking in the purchase price. My loss your gain as they say. The pictures really dont do it justice. There are very few marks or spider cracks and it definitely looks better than most two year old boats.
Clear title, no liens, I own this outright.
There are only a few of these Whalers that come available in this sort of condition-indoor housed its whole life except when in use-and virtually none you see are fitted with Yamaha engines. I get lots of comments on how nice the boat looks and Whaler people are astounded and jealous when they see Yamaha engines on the back. The reliability of this latest technology Yamaha 200hp power plant is second to none and the fuel consumption is very low for the power. The engines have a small scuff mark on each - will likely buff out or an easy fix. I have tried to show in the pictures. Otherwise nice and shiny and are fitted with stainless steel props.
I know this boat for the year is likely as good as they get.
Why pay over $150k for a new comparable Whaler fitted with Mercs when you can buy this? You can enjoy years of trouble free high end boating for a fraction of the price! Compare the cockpit/forward/ fishing area space with a new whaler and you will be astounded at just how much more room this boat/hull has -and it rides better.
These boats are virtually indestructible compared to other brands, unsinkable, and are fitted out with stainless steel components everywhere- built to the very highest standards. They keep up very well because of the way they are made.
Im sure you know Whaler changed the way they built in the mid 2000,s and for sure the earlier ones like this are much better. It has no soft spots or any sort of structural damage and has never been involved in any sort of accident. The hull is solid, the deck is solid, the T Top is solid.
The ONLY reason for sale is my kids have moved out and I don't use it as much as it deserves.
It is in excellent condition, and truthfully many of the guests I have taken out on it assume it is new !
I purchased this boat in May of 2014 from a gentleman in Illinois who had babied the boat from new. It had only 120 hours on the twin 200 original Merc engines, was run in freshwater lakes rarely and always kept indoors on a very large garage at all times. It was obvious that he babied it even when it wasn't in use. When I received the boat it was beyond my expectations condition wise with only a few minor gelcoat "spider veins" in a couple of places and a couple of deck chips -very small. Otherwise it showed like a new boat.
I have spent thousands on all the right things that I hope the new will enjoy and appreciate for years to come.
Since then it has been dry stored in the marina in Las Olas Ft Lauderdale so has continued to be kept from the elements. After every use the hull, deck and engines are washed down with fresh soap and water, and the engines flushed with fresh water. I pay extra to have that done every time.
The boat comes with a May 2010 Venture trailer. The last owner purchased this top of the line trailer in 2010 and I only used it to transport to Florida and take the boat out twice for its services. Since then it has been kept with the Yamaha dealer who I gave permission to occasionally use to move other boats in and out. I have attached a picture of the trailer with another boat on it at his boatyard taken this week. All aluminum with twin axles axles and custom aluminum wheels- top of the line! May need some minor TLC and a polish/clean but its a good solid trailer made for my boat.
The reason I purchased this was because the hull on this model of Whalers is so much better and drier than the new model and there is so much more space/ seating and amenities. It made so much sense to me to get the perfect hull with new engines rather than spend more on what I, and many, consider a lesser Whaler today.
Shortly after I took possession I changed out the engines for brand new Yamaha in line four strokes that came with a transferable 6 year warranty.
ONLY 269 hours on the engines!!
They still have 3 years warranty left!!
Additionally fitted with Yamaha fly by wire top of the line controls that includes a computer that tells you GPH/ fuel use/fuel available/ among other things and can set the motors to the trolling speed you want. Im sure this does a lot more but I haven't bothered to find out!
The new engines perform superbly, start first time every time, give incredible fuel performance (over three times better than the original mercs) and are as smooth as silk, quiet and don't smell like the old two strokes! Get the boat up on a plane in seconds. The weight to hull ratio is perfect, she rides straight on a plane with no bouncing that occurs with overweighted engines. Thats the beauty of the Yamaha in line fours. Same power, same reliability, less weight.
The other major benefit of these that a lot of people dont know is that when you repower with the in line four stokes from Yamaha they were designed to fit where the original engines did with no drilling/ refilling of the hull. The Perfect solution with none of the drawbacks of ill fitting engines and potential sructural defects that can occur later.
Additionally in May 2016 I changed out trim tab pump, bilge pumps, fitted new Bennett LED trim tab indicator, replaced bilge pumps and batteries, along with the raw water/baitwell pump all costing just under $5000 to make sure the boat was totally season ready.
This boat while being the 26 model actually measures in at 28ft including the bow and certainly performs and feels like a 28ft boat taking rough seas in its stride. The new engines will cruise all day long at 30+ mph and at full throttle on a calm day will get close to 50mph (I managed that once when it was really calm.) Gets on a plane fast and rides beautifully.
The build quality of this boat is superb. Everything on it works- though I would recommend at some point changing out the depthsounder/fishfinder which has a faded LCD screen (it does work but hardly readable) and the radar which also works but is outdated compared to todays HD models. These two were the original Whaler units and I actually never use them so didnt see the point of upgrading. I have the manuals for both.
There is tons of storage on this boat. Two huge drained lockers under forward seats. One large in floor locker that will hold 10 lifejackets easily, Storage bins on the center console for small items/papers phone etc, two large drawers and a cupboard in the head area- as well as that whole are being useful for putting large items out of the way, and two massive infloor insulated fishboxes aft that can be used for storage as well! Plus the captains leaning post has lift up split seats that can house loads of gear, along with a flip top small storage area for lures etc.
Below are listed some of the many features of the boat-in no particular order of importance.
- Garmin Color GPSMap4208 with preloaded maps and VHF radio fitted above the console in watertight locker.
- Upgraded 5 speaker Sony/JL Audio stereo system with four speakers plus subwoofer with amplifier housed behind the console- easily accessible from the head are via large access point that also allows all console fittings to be accessedthat covers for and aft. and allows for plugging in your ipod/aux phone for music playback. Great sound. Loud too if you want it that way.
- Custom built switch housing (made by the guys that originally made them for Whaler who thankfully are based in Florida) to accommodate all of the new features listed and for a perfect look and fit.
- Underwater blue transom LED lighting professionally installed for me.
- Upgraded LED Navigation T Top lights professionally installed for me.

- Center console seat with large capacity storage built in and under seat cooler.
- Stainless steel toe holder rails aft for safe fish fighting
- Fitted dive flag folding pole
- Retractable shade forward -its there but I never used)
- Double trumpet stainless steel marine air horns fitted on T Top- its loud!
- New Stainless steel claw anchor and new roller just fitted- over $500 worth
- Boat comes with a full custom cover (the previous owner supplied and I have never fitted so cant verify its perfect -though he said it was and sent me pictures at the time) and a console area clear window surround that again I have never fitted that came with the boat. Both apparently supplied by Boston Whaler. Again this will be as is because I have never looked at.
- There are also two chromed marine custom whaler logos on the boat I sourced at considerable expense just to give the boat a more personal touch. One is located on the removable center console seat back and one on the side of the center console under the window.
There are many more features on this boat that I haven't listed. All I can say is that it rides and feels like a Whaler does. Top of the line, safe and comfortable for family jaunts, canal cruising, water skiiing or full blown fishing expeditions offshore. You feel totally safe and comfortable taking this 30 plus miles out of sight of land or over to the Bahamas.
I will include with the boat many extras that I cant make use of, life jackets, basic ones and two gas cartridge automatics. Life throws. In date offshore flare/safety package, dock lines, fenders, etc etc.
Terms of purchase.
$1000 deposit immediately payable by winning bidder with remaining monies wired within 5 working days,
Shipping /collection to be arranged by new owner. I will remove boat from Marina and put on the trailer ready for collection once paid for and do my best to help with timings etc. I really want this to be as easy and pleasant an experience as it can be, something the previous owner did for me.
Please note this boat is sold as is/where is with no warranty implied except the Yamaha remaining engine warranty. I have done my best to show everything in the pictures, but as you know cameras often dont show true colors or very minor imperfections.
I have done my best to show all of the imperfections in the dropbox pictures.
There are a few spider veins on the baitwell hinge, and under the cover. A few small ones around a couple of hinges, a chip near one corner or the anchor hatch that was painted over, the aluminum bubbling under the paint on some of the screws that hold the door to the head- it is solid, a small crack (repaired and solid on the corner next to the port engine, and the deck chips which are small- they were painted with touch up and I placed a dollar bill next to them for size comparison, and a crack that is at the bottom of thr rear platform hatch door that was filled. All of these blemishes are hardly noticeable, and easily fixed cheaply or DIY if you want to spend a couple of hours on them. I think I captured them all. All are MINOR, non structural and watertight.
Please consider your purchase carefully. No refunds. I reserve the right to not allow someone with poor feedback or a low score to purchase though I will consider fairly.
I am proud to have a 100% above average buyer/seller rating so please buy with confidence.
Happy Bidding and GOOD LUCK!! Please only bid if you can pay.
