1988 Bayliner 3450 Avanti Sunbridge - Original owner with only 430 hours
Description
**. ** .
This listing is for a one owner 1988 Bayliner 3450 Avanti Sunbridge with only 430 original hours since new. It is powered by the original fresh water cooled Marine power 454 direct in boards that currently run well and are winterized. We are selling this boat on brokerage and have personally inspected it just before listing this ad and taking photos.
Cosmetically the entire boat is in good shape other than needing a good compound and wax on gel coat. There are very few stress cracks anywhere on the entire boat. The decks are all solid other than a 2 foot square area on the bow deck near a dingy cleat (see photos). It isn't very noticeable and hardly worth fixing. The gel coat is all original on the entire boat. The boat was not launched this year and will need a fresh coat of bottom paint. The radar arch flexes quite a bit and may need some reinforcing but was probably used like this for years. The wrap around cockpit seating is missing the back-rest cushion. The seat bottom itself is showing it's age and should be re-uoholstered. The canvas top looks great and the full side curtain set is stored below and looks almost new (see photos).
The cabin is nice and clean. The aft cabin is large and overall down below is huge! This boat was used mostly as a floating condo and would make a great second home or liveaboard for someone. Well maintained cabin and most everything we tried powered up. The batteries haven't been charged in 6 months and still have power to crank the engines. Fridge, cabin lights, fans, electronic, bilge pumps, stereo, windlass and really nothing I can think of didn't power up. I'm sure there's something that doesn't work but overall it's been kept up nicely. The AC/DC panel is very nice and well thought out. The sanitation and water systems are currently winterized.
Mechanically the boat has been well maintained. The exhaust risers were replaced last few seasons. The coolant is still topped off and both heat exchangers were pressurized when we opened the caps. Oil is clean in both engines. They are both currently winterized. The bilge Is clean overall and the hydraulic steering works well. The running gear is all in sound condition but will need yearly zincs replaced before launch.
The electronics included are a Raytheon Radar, Standard electronics Chart plotter GPS, Jensen stereo and a Interphase forward scanning sonar. Most everything powers up and seems to work just fine. We have all the original manuals, papers and two sets of keys. We have the documents for federal documentation in hand.
Overall this is boat represents a great value. It may need a few things but is overall ready to go. The original owner kept up well with what it needed and I'm sure a new owner will really appreciate the condition.
The boat is located in Clinton Connecticut at a large full service marina. Winter storage is included if you don't want to move the boat until spring. The marina is available to water launch or load onto a truck if needed. We are flexible and available to help you get quotes on transportation by land or sea.
