Bayliner Capri 1700

I bought this at a local auction and thought it was a good idea at the time but since I don't know anything about boats it is probably best that this one goes to someone that does know what makes these things work. So up for auction is this 1988 Bayliner Capri 1700, and it has NO RESERVE! First, the hull of this boat is in incredible shape given that this is a 1988! I don't think it spent much time in the water and when it was there was no dock time or braille docking methods used. Next, the trailer too is in excellent condition and it is galvanized so it will serve you for many more years. Now, that said please understand that you won't be riding the open waves immediately in this unless you are being towed behind another boat. I can get the radio to work, vapor blower and I believe raising of the outdrive. The rest of the electronics show no signs of life including the motor. Oil looks excellent in the Ford 2.3 but the starter looks a bit corroded so who knows what is going on there. The seats are an absolute mess and it looks like some hungry critters had the munchies after binging one night and tore them up right nice. The floor has soft spots and expect some sub floor and the decking frame to be rotted due to neglect. Most of the interior subframe seems to be ok but I just want you to be aware of the potential here for concealed damage. I have no idea about the engine or the outdrive so please ask questions but expect an answer of "I don't know" for anything pertaining to the viability of either part of the I/O (and well, expect the same response for most any other questions haha). I'll do my best to answer but again, other than they like water I know very little about boats. It comes with some snap on protective covers, whether they are useable or not is up for debate but I will say...maybe. I have the registration and paperwork from the previous owner. Take a look at the pictures as they can tell you a lot more than I ever could.
